We love and protect the most important part of ourselves - Culture. Tanzania is rich in diversity with over 120 ethnic groups, they all speak 1 common language Swahili that binds all. They all have different cultural heritage, social norms, background, faiths and practices. At Mikoko Gallery Center we nature, teach and inspire people of their culture, to love it, admire others and be proud of who they are.

Mikoko Gallery Center is a  place where we preserve and immense you in the African culture - the people, the language, history,  clothing, art and much more.

The center is a place where we showcase Creativity Heritage and bring to life our history, music, food, garments, ornaments, regalia, antiques, jewelery,  art and craft.


Tanzania is full of a wide range of history that is on display in a form of entertainment, we produce a number uplifting performance, storytelling, folk traditions and conduct workshop on performance art.

The Center is located in Dar es Salaam at the famous Mikoko Mangrove Center.

Center for Inspiration

The Mikoko Gallery Center is a brainchild idea brought about by Olais Raphael, Japhari Mohammed, and Francis Evance. The idea is to introduce Scouts to social and economic generating activity. This empowers the youth to become self sufficient and good citizen as per the Scout Promise.
